On friday, we received the best Christmas present ever - the Nintendo Wii (thanks Hasi!).
On monday, you could already feel the eagerness of people (well, not really people, developers) coming to the office. But as of today, the eagerness went through the roof - we bought a projector! For code reviews.
The following video is the projector’s version of a developer’s introduction, the beloved “Hello World!”:
Some thinking, some typing, some OpenArena and a lot of blank stares at the screen… All of these are parts of a working day in the life of a software engineer! Enjoy!
Who said that we, left-brainers, cannot be creative?
To be honest, the origin of this poster is 99% left-brain, but nevertheless it can be printed - i guess that makes it art :)
The masterpiece is generated using the popular “ctrl+c/ctrl+v” technique, which was applied on one of our Java source code files, and pasting it in the web-based word cloud generation system (wordle.net).
p.s. the “Infigo” t-shirt i’m wearing in the pic is just a ticket for a free lunch…;)
contains the snapshot of the current status inside Calyx (that is, the status of 2 desks inside Calyx :). The refresh rate is around 66 mHz (caution: mHz not MHz).
Now, I would like to encourage everybody to act in the following way:
a) if the person, sitting further away from the camera, is in a non-ergonomic position –> send an email to 385981945644(at)sms.t-mobile.hr with the subject “gollum”. You can use the the body of the email for stress-relief purposes.
b) if the person, sitting closer to the camera, is in a non-ergonomic position –> tako no action. He’s always like that.
It’s very rude to quantify good intentions, but after a person intents good for 10 times, (s)he will receive an email containing only beautiful words and greetings. From the CEO himself!
